Normally, brown basmati rice gets 2:1 water to rice, but that's the ratio that you used above...would you add additional water? I would just follow the directions (ratio) for your rice cooker on the brown rice. If you are making it on the stove, I would just follow the directions for your rice and add the sauteed fruit and nuts. We normally eat brown rice, too and I'm looking forward to trying it.
